Feels good, Looks good and Working so far.

Posted by Teng Tiow Tay on 21st Dec 2022

When my Franklin Electric 4KW pump fails, tripping my 20A Clipsal circuit breaker and melting the plastic terminal of my Schneider 38A rated relay, my heart sank. Until now I still could not figure out how that plastic could melt unless the Clipsal breaker is allowing far more than 20A to get through before tripping. Not sure who I should call to get my money back. But I believe they are all out of warranty and no one is likely to give me an audience. Called my pump man, and he said such a pump would set me back about 4K plus labour. Looked around on the web and found this whole pump set including controller box and 6x level electrodes for $980. Text my pump man and he replied not to waste time putting in a cheap, “don’t know made where” pump. Anyway, if he does not want to change it for me, I would just have to do it myself. Spent another $170 buying a winch and 2 pipe wrench from Bunnings, it turned out to be relatively easy with the help of a couple of Youtube videos. The pump is working just as expected for 3 days. Lets hope it continue that way to make my bet worth the while.
