    succumbs to overuse

Posted by Paul K(Philippines) on 3rd Mar 2020

Pump installed nearly 6 years ago. Hasn't missed a beat. My pressure tank bladder had lost it's air and so exceeded the recommended 30 start ups per hour. Appears the motor has grounded out. Getting someone to assess the damage. Will buy new unit if unable to repair this one.

    Not as advertised

Posted by Marcus Kelly on 18th Oct 2019

Bought the 550watt pump but it draws over 1000w so is no good to run off my battery and inverter system. Have not received a reply since emailing them about the situation. Tuhorse: We did not received your email regards the power. All our pumps rated are output power. Most of AC pumps about 50-60% efficiency. AC pump require 4-5 time more power for start up current draw.

Great value, but there was an issue with the footvalve.

Posted by John on 20th Jan 2017

The pump worked perfectly for the first couple of weeks until one day the footvalve jammed open, causing the overload to keep tripping due to excessive starts. On inspection there was no obvious cause. The pump is now back down the bore and working perfectly.

    motor failure

Posted by kevin cairns on 30th Jul 2014

the new pump is only a week old so ok so far. the previous one failed 1 month out of warranty due to power cable burned at entry point to the motor, I have yet to dismantle to see if it can be salvaged/rewired, but hope I get more than 1 year out of this new one. many thanks

The pump arrived very quickly and we pulled the old one and fitted the cable and pipe and put the new pump down the bore. It was easy to wire up and works very well A good pump

It's been installed for only two weeks but working fine. What impressed me is the extremely good response from Tuhorse re the delivery time - less than 4 hours from Sydney to Gold Coast.
